Magnolias and Oaks Homestead
My Journey
Hi, friends! Thank you for stopping by. A little about me: I’m Michelle, and I have been on a journey for the past 4-5 years, learning about the broken systems we live with and what we can do about them. I’m a solutions-gal and want to make life as practical as possible.
I am a suburban homesteader in the Central Florida area. My family and I make an effort to grow our own food, bake bread, and live simple and quiet lives.
I left my job (mental health therapist) about five years ago to be a full-time caretaker for two family members. Once I began to slow down, I began to return to my roots and started gardening and canning. It didn’t stop there, of course. I am now gardening indoors, baking bread, grinding my own wheat, freeze-drying, and preserving my own food.
